Our 11th capital offering has gone incredibly well—we've reached 96% of our target of $1.5 M. We want to sincerely thank our members for their trust and conviction in OREC’s mission to develop and build more community-scale renewable energy. Together, we’re proving once again that local people can power local solutions.

We’re now just $55,000 away from our $1.5 million target. Once we reach that goal, we’ll be halting the raise—because at OREC, we’re laser-focused on our mission and prudent with every dollar of member investment. Until we have committed projects ready for funding, we’ll hold off on raising further capital.
The good news: we’re actively pursuing several large projects, and if one or more of those deals lands, we may reopen the current raise before it expires in February 2026 and in advance of RRSP season.
One quick highlight—Class N Member Investment Notes (5-year term, 4% annual interest) sold out within just five weeks of launch. Clearly, shorter-term, fixed-rate options are popular with our members! For those still looking to invest, Preference Shares in Class A (20-year, variable dividend) and Class E (10-year, variable dividend) remain available—for now.
If you’ve been considering taking advantage of this capital raise to invest for your future, now is the time to act. Together, we’re not just investing in solar panels and wind turbines—we’re investing in a resilient, community-powered future.
