We recently had a productive visit to our expanding solar project at the Canada Science and Technology Museum, where we were joined by federal MP Bruce Fanjoy for a rooftop tour. It was a great opportunity to share the progress on this significant installation.

This project is adding an additional 660 kW to our existing 254 kW solar array, bringing the total capacity to 914 kW. Once complete, we believe this will be Eastern Ontario's largest rooftop solar site, contributing substantially to the region's clean energy supply.

Construction is nearing completion, with the physical work set to wrap up in just a few weeks. The final step is to coordinate with Hydro Ottawa, the local utility, for the final grid connection. This connection is key, as it will allow the facility to receive credits for the electricity generation, which in turn will create revenue for our member investors.

This project, like all of OREC's initiatives, is made possible by the dedicated investments and ongoing support of our OREC members. Your commitment allows us to build and expand important community energy projects, bringing more clean power to the grid and generating returns for those who invest in a sustainable future.

Thank you for being a vital part of the OREC community as we continue to grow our impact!

I hope that Hydro Ottawa can provide a timely connection to maximize the benefit of this renewable energy installation.
