Josh Reinhart is OREC"s newest Board Director

We’re thrilled to announce that Josh Reinhart has joined OREC’s Board of Directors—bringing with him enough electrical expertise to light up the province (and probably the next AGM).

Josh is a Professional Engineer and Licensed Master Electrician who has dedicated his career to sustainable engineering, resilient building design, and community education. When he’s not wiring up smarter infrastructure, he’s empowering homeowners to stay safe—and inspired—through hands-on electrical safety training.

As the founder of PG Electrical Solutions and PG Engineering Solutions, Josh has led projects that prove clean energy isn’t just a concept—it’s something you can design, build, and make work for everyone.

Academic credentials? Check.

Josh holds both a Master of Engineering and an Engineer’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Carleton University. While there, he tackled research on sustainable construction and green building, culminating in a publication on using simulation tools to improve building resilience to disruptions in the energy supply chain. (Yes—he literally wrote the manual on keeping the lights on.)

Josh steps into the role previously held by Graham Findlay, who is retiring from the Board after 10 years of invaluable service to OREC. Graham has been instrumental in finding great project opportunities, guiding project design and development, and inspiring us all with his commitment and positive energy. His contributions have helped shape OREC into the thriving community-powered cooperative it is today, and we extend our heartfelt thanks for everything he’s done.

Beyond the technical chops, what excites us most is Josh’s passion for community-powered solutions. His work is a testament to what’s possible when expertise meets purpose—a perfect fit for OREC’s mission to accelerate clean energy across Ottawa and Eastern Ontario.

Please join us in welcoming Josh to the Board—and in celebrating Graham’s remarkable legacy. We can’t wait to see how this next chapter unfolds.
